About Us
At Baby Steps to Quran, we offer a unique path for you to share your child’s journey of learning to recite the Quran. In this series of eBooks and video tutorials the rules of reading and writing Arabic are broken down into bitesize lessons, making it easy for the child to fully understand and implement. The video tutorials act as a “teacher” at home that further help the child to master the lesson and the parent to assist him/her. Every time a book is complete, your child will feel a great sense of achievement and be eager to continue to the next book. Parents will also be able to share the special journey of teaching their child how to recite the Quran and it will no longer be left to the Madrasa. This is also a perfect series for parents who simply cannot afford to send their child to Madrasa. It is simple, structured and affordable!
After working in a Madrasa for 8 years it was easy to identify where the difficulties laid with children in learning how to read Arabic and Quran. It was also easy to identify the frustration of parents who wanted to help their child but felt disheartened as their own lack of knowledge prevented them from doing so. In addition to this, most conventional books used by madrasa’s contained all the rules in one book, as well as in a different language, which is often discouraging as it takes children a long time to understand and complete.
This online course consists of 7 eBooks. Each eBook is accompanied with a series of video tutorials that explain each book. Once students have completed one eBook, they will progress onto the next one until they complete all the books in the series. There will also be an additional set of videos going through the small chapters (Juzz Amaa) in the Quran to apply the rules learnt throughout the series. This series is particularly suitable for families living in the West and from all walks of life. It can be used as a stand-alone online course or to complement your current child’s studies at his/her madrasa. It is unique as it gives parents the opportunity to be part of their child’s journey to learning the Quran, even if they are unable to recite the Quran by means of the video tutorials.
Many parents long for their child to become a Hafith of the Quran knowing the great rewards for both parent and child. This innovative method of learning allows parents to learn along with their child and reap the benefits of both teaching and reciting the Quran!
“The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it”. Sahih Al Bukhari.
